In June, I had the privilege of photographing Jake & Hattie’s wedding on the north west edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon – ‘just a few’ miles away from my base in Hampshire.
During their drinks reception, when the time was right, we headed to the nearby Lydford Gorge (managed by the National Trust) and captured some romantic pictures of them at the base of the 30m high waterfall. To get the majority of these pictures, I needed to be in the river! I happily took my shoes and socks off, rolled up my trousers to the knee, and stepped into the river. I only had to hint at the idea and the bride was also barefoot and in the river.
It’s not everyday you get the opportunity to photograph a bride and groom at such a location on their wedding day. Bellow are a few highlights from the adventure.
